"In four years that I have been attending a...weekly class, I have been helped to build strength, improve balance, develop a sense of well being, and bring peace to my mind. I consider my time at WiseWays absolutely essential to my physical and mental health..." --Susan, when starting at WiseWays she wore a back brace, was receiving spinal injections, and on pain medication--now is free of brace, meds and pain
“I came to WiseWays as a semi-experienced yoga participant with many challenges due to my build and a lot of constant exercise in my life. I immediately found comfort in the WiseWays philosophy that every person’s body moves and bends in different ways. I feel that the WiseWays studio creates an atmosphere that is calming, clean, spiritual, and open minded. I never leave a class in the same state that I felt when I entered. Over the years, I have been able to let go of all my stress, anxiety, insecurities and constant mind-racing... the philosophy of ‘we are all individuals and our bodies move differently’, has taught me appreciation for my own body. My self esteem and my comfort with myself have increased since I have been connected with WiseWays."--Kellee, MPH

ONGOING TAI CHI SCHEDULE
Wednesdays 7:30–9:00 pm
Beginners’ class is the first 45 minutes of each session.
Focus in the second half of class is on those who have
finished the form. Most come and stay for the whole session;
even though the focus shifts there is still lots of
learning and attention given to all.
TAI CHI
taught by Lucy Bartimole
Guang Ping Yang Taijiquan (tai chi) is an ancient Chinese martial art consisting of 64 slowly executed postures. Done standing, this moving meditation centers and grounds the practitioner. These postures build strength and balance in the physical body while enhancing the development of the body’s internal vital energy (Qi), which leads to improved cardiovascular flow, digestive assimilation and stress levels; lowers blood pressure; and stimulates immune system function.
Private sessions available.
Email us or call (614) 488-3041 for private sessions.
“My first experience with Tai Chi was attending a demonstration at the Grandview Public Library. Lucy Baltimore’s presentation was captivating and I knew that I would enjoy learning from her. I have been a student of Lucy’s for the past two years. I am one of many students who continue to attend to enjoy the camaraderie as well as the learning."--Linda Haley
